Hanging Around Portland

A few photos of us, from Sunday in Portland.

The first one is my Husband at a cool piece of artwork in front of Portland Union Station. They refer to it as driving, but I like to think of it as a "Back to the Future" kind of thing.

It has an eye around it (note the lashes on the far left top) and something almost like a sun dial and yes, a steering wheel and seat, too. My guy was totally entranced with it.

The second photo is me inside Voodoo Donuts.

Quite the place with many unique donuts, as well as the standard fare. We bought a dozen classic donuts, but there were many outrageous ones, including one shaped like a reefer, with red sprinkles at the "lit" end.

The line cues around the area and the wait is almost 15 minutes, at least. As we stood in the cue, a long, long, long, stretch limo pulled up and at least 10 or so people got onto the line. It was truly a scene in a really bad area (think skid row) part of Portland. Yeah, I know the rent is cheaper, but really? lol

Yes, the donuts are yummy, but I don't think I will be dreaming of them.
