A post holiday recipe:
My Hubby's friend in Phoenix bakes rolls at the holiday. It doesn't matter what holiday, they work for just about any of them. I made them this Thanksgiving and wanted to post the recipe, for any who are into an easy baking project.
Rolls
______
2 Cups Warm Water
2 Pkg Active Dry Yeast
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Cup Soft Shortening or Oil
1 Egg
6 1/2 to 7 Cups of Flour
Mix all ingredients and knead. Place in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth and place in the refrigerator. 1 to 2 hours before you want to bake them, take them out and roll into balls and place into a pan. Let them rise for that 1 to 2 hours and then place into a 400 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Take out and break into individual rolls and serve immediately.
You can also do this in your bread machine.
