Yes, I have pictures of them flying. As a matter of fact, a pretty cool shot of 4 flying together and a 5th overtaking them. It's a good shot, but for me, the ones on the ground show off the planes best. When the crew looks over the planes, each one does exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. Quite a sight to see.
My son, who spent 4 years in the Air Force JROTC, can tell the difference between the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds are very into precision...while the Blue Angels are all about taking chances. I never noticed it before, but now that I was looking for it, he is right.
It was fun to watch them, anyway.
Since our local air show usually features the Blue Angels...I will catch chancy...next time. :-)
