My Water Post For Today.
The Rio Grande runs from the north to the south, through Albuquerque.
For some reason, this branches off of the main river. I assume it is for flood control, in wet years.
We saw it just to the north of the Downtown area of Albuquerque.
From what I could see, it empties into the fiesta balloon park, just on the other side of the railroad tracks.
Interesting land use, since the chance of flooding in October, is just about nil, during the balloon Festival.
The water looks great it nice to know it is uses in so many ways.
