Browser Problems

I don't know if you are in the same situation I am, but I am unable to comment, via the web browser Firefox.

The work around I came up with, is opening a new browser in Chrome.

It works, but I do not like Chrome as a general rule, so I then finish my comment, and log off of it.

I went looking and they mentioned deleting cookies, and stuff like that, but I don't feel like doing that right now.

I kind of wonder about stuff like this. Especially since January 20th.

I use Firefox as my standard browser on my old-fashioned desktop PC (Windows 10) for *most* things internet. I've not noticed any issues. (Am using Firefox right now.)

  2. Quick followup... That *seemed* to work as far as I can tell.

As for Firefox settings, I have STANDARD "Enhanced Tracking Protection" enabled along with other useful security option settings.

Also want to note that I use various Firefox extension add-ons for additional security/safety purposes: uBlock Origin ad-blocker being the main one, but also DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, Privacy Badger, and Bit Defender TrafficLight. All are free (but reputable as far as I know) add-ons that have been around a long time. It's probably overkill, but I've used them for years and, for the most part, there usually aren't any major issues anywhere or with how they may interact behind the scenes at on any particular websites. Either that or I'm just used to how they work and I simply don't notice anything amiss.

I don't know if it matters, but I have always had Firefox "Firefox Data Collection and Use" options completely off so that Firefox themselves are not routinely getting info from me (if they're being truthful).

Point being... I think one or all of those probably cut down on cookie storage and long-term accumulation for me for sites where I don't *need* cookies for official login/account stuff.

  3. Hi Dim Skip!
Here is what it says to me, when I hit reply.

  4. Have you seen this?...

Mozilla: Website will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it

It's not necessarily helpful, but it seems to me to be saying it's more likely a "them" issue than a "you" issue---wherever it is that it may be occurring.

I could easily be wrong, of course.
