Things I did not know, when we stayed at the Hotel New Yorker, back in April.
Nikola Tesla died in the hotel, in room 3327, back in 1943. There is a plaque commerating this room, as the place where he died, and people can actually sleep in it, if they want (for $500 a night). You can read more about it HERE.
If I ever have occasion to stay there again, (highly recommended, though almost 100 years old), I would definitely go up to the 33rd floor, and check it out.
The views out the windows are outstanding, by the way. Midtown Manhattan at its finest.
