All Trains Lead To Chicago

As I have mentioned before, almost every train has its beginning or end, in Chicago.

I learned that as I researched my Thesis for my Master's Degree. It had to do with the Civil War, and the fact that the Union did not want the trains (like the transcon) going through the South. So they chose Chicago (brrrr).

We are going to take the Cardinal, which is a first for all three of us. More on that, after the experience.

The train leaves at almost 6PM Central Time, so most of the beginning of the journey, will be in the dark. I am not sure if we get dinner on the train or not. I should inquire, I guess.

Otherwise, there will be snacks in the Metropolitan Lounge, as usual.

I am very excited, for this leg of the journey.
