I didn't get too much sleep on the train, but in good news for us, breakfast was served at 6:30AM and so we had Railroad French Toast and watched the sun rise.
We arrived a half hour early and in the cold early morning air, we walked the train station. More on that another time.
After a rental car pick-up, we immediately drove out to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. On the way, we passed beautiful mountains filled with saguaro cactus in a place called Tucson Mountain Park. After photographing within a turn-off there, we decided to skip the Saguaro National Park.
Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is well worth a visit, and this was the third time I did so. Lots of animals and (of course) desert plants.
