
Yes, it's not 1999 anymore, but the party weekend is in high gear and I am sure, going on in many places around my area.
The weather is perfect and my "other" son #1 had a pool party, put on by his mother and his aunt. They combined two parties into one, since his cousin graduated from another local high school, earlier this week. I came down toward the end of the evening and got to see their combined cake, done in the colors of each of the high schools and the balloons, which also represented their colors, too. What a nice way to acknowledge each of their achievements. I was quite impressed.
My son has been invited to several other parties and events that will happen in the next month as "other" son gets ready to leave for boot camp in the Marines. ACK!

For now, I am just happy they both are having a good time with their friends. Reality is going to hit in a hurry, soon enough.
As a matter of fact, my son has been asked to visit his friend's mother and sister, after he leaves for boot camp.
I thought that was so very responsible of my son, to care enough to do that for his best friend.
