Hoover Dam: Downstream

My Water Post For Today.

My workplace is moving the week of the NAB, so even though we seriously thought of going to Vegas this April, we really can't. It is just too unpredictable a time in my company's life. This will be the second year in a row that I miss out and I don't believe I am saying this...but I am missing it, just a little. :-)

So I decided to go back to the last time I saw Vegas, with my Marine son's girlfriend (now wife). We brought her to Hoover Dam and I got some different shots of the area. This one is straight down from the top of the dam.

I truly love the colors of the rock sides and the blue color of the water. I truly don't think there is anywhere else that looks quite like this. Enjoy the Colorado River, winding its way down to the border of California and Arizona and ultimately, Mexico's Sea of Cortez.

  1. It is beautiful, as a matter of fact we passed a stream yesterday, who's water was that color blue. :-)

  2. I truly think it's those red rocks reflecting in the water, that make the color so remarkable.
