A friend posted these two photos. Not exactly the most photogenic, but oh well.
These are my friends.
We got together for the final day of TechCon and after the entire day went on, we assembled at The Hofbräuhaus. It is thankfully not right on The Strip, but over on Paradise, where you can actually find a place to park, right by the event building. Trust me, to get to Caesar's or the MGM Grand, takes a half hour walk, from their parking structure (or so it feels.)
Kevin, Nick are old timers who I served under, when I was briefly Chair of the Traffic Advisory Committee. I also served with Karen and Susie, though never with Regina (who is the only other female in both shots.) She is on the Committee right now, for the third time, so I think she has the right to be in the photos. :-)
I cannot tell you how much pride I felt, as I sat in the final Traffic Session, working through what worked and what didn't and what should be addressed next year. I wanted to stand up and ask how many had served on the Committee, over the years...but I didn't.
I am so glad that no one can take that away from me.
