My Water Post For Today.
When we were traveling from Garden City to Far Rockaway, we decided to take the scenic route via Meadowbrook Pkwy to the beaches.
One of the beaches we went through, was Long Beach.
I had never been there and so when we were by the boardwalk, we parked and walked over to the beach.
It is still not back to anything resembling normal, after Super Storm Sandy, but it is in better condition, than a few years ago.
It was a nice time of the day to visit and see the sand and water.
Note they are still grooming the sand, so it is fenced off from the public.
In spite of that, I hope that you enjoy.
I agree Sandy did a lot of damage to Long Island, But the Beach still looks nice & I know it will be back to it's old way some day!
