We made it to the National Museum of the Air Force.
Spent about 4 hours looking around at planes both old and new.
It was quite exciting, especially for my Son.
He had wanted to see the North American XB-70 Valkyrie. The plane dwarfed every other one in the room. It was impressive.
I found the extensive exhibit on the Vietnam War fascinating. They explained quite a bit about the war, that we civilians knew little about. I had heard that our friend who was in Vietnam had been sent to Laos, to do things to the Ho Chi Minh Trail, but never knew what exactly was going on. All I knew, was that when Nixon disavowed any knowledge of troops being there, the troops wondered where he thought they were.
The museum and parking are both free, if you are interested.
