We are planning a trip in mid-October and the lucky location is going to be: Flagstaff.
We watch the trains come in to Flagstaff station nightly and decided to rent a car from there and then drive up to the Grand Canyon.
We got a hotel on the South Rim and hope to have a good 2 days seeing what the canyon has to offer.
My major worry is that it might be getting a bit chilly there, but hopefully not too bad.
I definitely want to visit the Lumberyard restaurant across the tracks and have a final meal there before boarding our train home.
Something to look forward to.
Your FINAL meal? Do you know something we don't? Are you planning on any future events on the way home? Indians attacking the train with RPGs? Getting stranded and having the passengers turn cannibal when the provisions run out? I could go on, but please let our gentle readers imaginations run wild.
