My Water Post For Today.
The Kansas River parallels the train tracks in the eastern end of the state of Kansas.
It eventually empties into the Missouri River by Kansas City, Kansas. The Missouri, empties into the Mississippi River just above St. Louis.
They say its watershed comes from far to the west in the United States, similar to the Platte River (which I posted about HERE and HERE).
The Continental Divide is (of course) the place where the watershed changes from draining to the Mississippi River, to draining out to the Pacific Ocean.
The things I learn about our Country when I travel by train, that they don't teach in books.
