Steely Dan Heavy Rollers Tour 2007

At best, Steely Dan the band and the founders are a total enigma. After hanging around the Steely Dan Fan community these past almost 7 years, I have learned to appreciate when they open the window into their humor. Today, the final day before a 2 week break in a tour that goes on for months, they posted on their website a tongue in cheek recap of their last break from touring. Labeled State Fugue it is a humorous look at a night they spent in New Orleans a year ago. I believe this is the same time last year that they "composed" a letter to Luke Wilson regarding his brother Owen's movie, You Me and Dupree.

Their tour resumes on the 27th with 2 dates in Chicago and Milwaukee, then over to Europe for the first time since the summer of 2000.
