
More photos from my friend's anniversary trip to Costa Rica.
My friend spent time communing with many wild creatures. Of the many she took photos of, I especially love the birds.
I particularly enjoyed seeing a real Toucan.
I find it totally amazing that they are actually those bright colors in real life. I always thought the cereal box exaggerated a bit. :-)

These birds are Crested Oropendolas.
The male of the species, has a very bright yellow tail and a mostly black body. The females are (of course) more brown and dull. Isn't it always the way...

They are feeding (according to my friend) on a bizarre shaped bird feeder.
I hope you enjoyed a quick trip to Central America. Tomorrow will be the first of 2 water posts, this one, a sunset. The final one will turn up next week, when I will have a totally different kind of water post from her trip.
