My Water Post For Today.
Yesterday we spent part of the day traveling on Long Island Sound. That is the body of water between Long Island and Connecticut.
The Ferry ride takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, to make the journey and it is quite beautiful.
This photo is taken from the boat, just as we docked at Orient Point (on the North Shore).
A very beautiful area on a very wonderful day.

I have always loved riding the ferry between Long Island & New England, looking at all the light houses looking at the coast.

ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to take the ferry, and never have.
ReplyDeletePretty inexpensive, considering all. Car and driver are one price and passengers extra. You can also walk on, if someone is picking you up on the other side...or you are taking Amtrak.
