Saying Goodbye To Our Old Van

Tuesday was the day. Our van pool was told that the van was at the end of its commuting life. It was 5 years old.

We all laughed at that, but we could understand the reasoning behind the early retirement. They don't want commuters dealing with vehicles that break down, often.

So with a heavy heart, we gave this wonderful van (pictured above) back to Metro and they delivered a new van. New van smell and all.

You would think that we would all be happy.

Well, to say the least, it is a 9 person van and ours was a 10 person van. I didn't think that made much of a difference, but it does.

We are now cramped into a much smaller space. Letting me off at my workplace, moves at least 3 people, since I am in the back row.

We hit our heads all the time, on the lower roof and there is less aisle space.

Oh and I think we pay about $15 dollars more for this one, since we lost a rider.

Otherwise, all is well and we hopefully will get better gas mileage in this one.
