I mentioned in my post about Mardi Gras bread, that when I turned on my 35 year old bread machine, its core had frozen up.
My Husband took it apart and found that the washer had disintegrated and it was not able to be put together again. My mixing tool in the bottom was also dying. It was time for a new machine.
We went over to Bed, Bath and Beyond with a 25% off everything coupon and picked up an Oster machine for under $100 with tax.
It makes a 2 lb loaf of bread, which is double what my old machine made.
We did bake a loaf and ate some with dinner, (before the photo I took). It came out good.
Though very dense.
