Masks...or Not

It is getting to the point that most people are going to stores, gyms, and events, maskless.

I am glad they no longer care about their health and feel free to do this, but it brings me serious worry for most of the people in this Country.

I and my Husband do wear masks to the stores and the gym, so we have not changed at all.

Hopefully, it will be enough for us.

  4. Sorry, Angel, I didn't realize you had already commented in reply to my "first draft." I deleted it in order to fix one minor point. (Wish blogger would just let us edit comments instead of having to delete and re-post).

Original comment with minor adjustment follows...

THANK YOU for masking. It's really only a matter of erring on the side of sensible caution.

I keep telling anyone I can (or have to) that just because people don't **HAVE** to wear a mask anymore, that doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't, vaccinated and boosted or not. (A little social distancing among strangers is still a good idea too.)

Funny how so many of the same people who were adamant and vociferous that they shouldn't be **FORCED** to wear a mask and should have **FREEDOM** to choose for themselves are now often the ones who feel they have to speak up to anonymous strangers still masking that the mask is no longer required. (Yes, that actually happened to me and a friend while out recently). I stressed that it was **MY** choice and that **I** have the **FREEDOM** to do so. (Obviously, I could go into so much more explaining **why** it's my choice, but I didn't have the time, nor would such a person bother to listen in any meaningful way, I'm sure.)

I've also commented about the weird general concept of doing simple and easy precautions to get the infection and hospitalization rates down and then officials deciding that, because the rates are down, that means we can stop doing those things that got them down in the first place. Then they're somehow astonished when rates start to climb back up?!

  5. Then I messed up the re-post! Again, apologies. I must not be "with it" yet today. Or maybe my anger issues on the subject get to me.
