Slowly...oh so slowly, he is coming around.
I thought they looked so cute together last Friday. Of course he would look even cuter with her on his lap...but not quite yet.
In things she did this weekend.
I woke up at 5:20AM Monday morning to find her on my chest.
OMG!
Get off me, you trying to kill me, Makenna?
Thankfully, she did not repeat this and I hope I made enough of a stink so that she won't do that again.
She likes the warmth. That's why they lay on you.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah, yeah. (Beatles reference, just for you) :-)
ReplyDeleteShe is actually the first cat to do this with us. They usually just lay between the two of us, at our feet. Move up closer, in the winter.
At least she isn't laying on your head. Although the chest could be just as deadly, if she turns the gravity up too far.
ReplyDeleteMakenna looks downright regal sitting there on the couch. Your hubby will eventually yield to her authority. ;-)
Yeah, she does...doesn't she.
ReplyDeletelol! she'll have hubby wrapped around her little pawky (pinky for cats) before you know it :-)
ReplyDeleteSouris still sleeps in her little bunker downstairs. But she now gets along with both the dogs, albeit somewhat reserved still whereas Sara is concerned. It's not that funny if you have barely woken up and a little hairy thing suddenly jumps IN your face, making a statement you can't ignore lol. Who knows one day we can all sit together in the same room, pets all cuddled up and asleep, whether together or on their own fav place...
and cats usually approach those who do not like them... i wasn't into cats at all as a kid and such, and i always HATED it when they curled their tale around me and all that, ugh! as if they sense you don't like them, hahaha, and they give it their best shot to turn you around lol.
looking forward to future pics of hubby and cat :-)
Gina: My cat freaks out still when company comes, I can just imagine all the chaos with your dogs.
ReplyDeleteShe has every right to keeping a bit apart at times, they are indeed big dogs... :-)
Our younger cat, Maxine, was introduced to the concept "Dog" in very abrupt fashion. She was two years old at the time, and it only occurred to me to ask if she'd ever seen a dog as I was opening her carrier on the floor... whups. Gracie the Lab's entire head was immediately in the carrier with Maxine -- "HI THERE!!!! I LOVE KITTIES!!!"
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw Maxine again about 3 weeks later, when my SU opened a desk drawer in the basement and she mrrred at him. It was at least a couple years before Max stopped hissing at the dogs every time she saw them. Now, of course, Gracie's her best buddy, and Max will come along and give the dog a head-bump under the chin.
Piglet, you didn't ask? lol
