I have already blogged about my Husband's cousin's Drug Store, that has a soda fountain in it. It was almost a year ago, that I wrote this post and if you don't remember it, you can see it HERE.
This week, our cousin's daughter (also our cousin) posted a wonderful review that she found in the LA Weekly and the subject was...her father's soda shoppe!

I thought it was a wonderful review of the place and it basically says that people should go out of their way, to check it out. The reviewer also mentions that it harkens back to something that we don't see now days and that was exactly the point. The soda fountain it was modeled after, was standard fare in Chicago, back in the day. I am sure it is not anymore, but it's nice to have that touchstone to the old ways and old times. Jerry definitely did right by his adopted home, Los Angeles, and it is good to see him finally getting some recognition for it.
A good update, too.... I still remember when we were young, going to Grete's ???? for a something I can't even remember what it was called, all I know it tasted great and was something we always would looked forward to!!!!
