While we visited our friend in Monterey, she took us to their new Library. On the side of the building were all these wildflowers growing. She thought they just grew on their own, but I am sure it is a wildflower mix. They probably sprayed seeds onto the dirt and got them to grow that way.
It was quite nice to see all those flowers, with the different colors, all mixed up.
There were regular poppies and, of course, the orange flowers are California Poppies, our state flower. I saw blue bells, also, but they did not end up in this photo.
I have no idea what the pink ones are, or the fuchsia ones, either.
Compared to the beach sand and trees that are around the coast in that area (think Pebble Beach), it was a nice change of pace.
