Bob Hope Garden At San Fernando Mission

My Water Post For Today.

The side of the Mission Church leads to this lovely garden, called the Bob Hope Garden.

Now, being Bob Hope is mentioned everywhere in Burbank, I figured they had just donated a bit of money and that is why they got naming rights.

How wrong I was.

As I viewed the lovely waterscape that is the highlight of the garden area, I saw a walkway to something else.

As you can see, that something else is the graves of Bob and Dolores Hope.

Kind of cool and unexpected.

I was not aware that Bob and Dolores Hope were Catholic.

Reading up on it, Dolores was the Catholic and Bob converted to it, later in life.

Each of them lived to over 100 years old.
