This is a big year for The City of Santa Clarita.
On December 15th we will hit our 30th Birthday.
In honor of that fact, they have been celebrating all year and these banners are the latest thing that has been added to our streets.
The one in the front is the clock tower at our Newhall Metrolink Station. The banner says that we have 3 stations in our city.
I must admit that this fact is pretty darn impressive and yes, there have been days where we knew we were going to miss the train at Santa Clarita station and instead roared down the road to the Newhall Station. Just in time, I might add. :-)
So it is quite a convenience to us residents.
I am reading a book about the fight for Cityhood and though I am only 1/3rd of the way done, it is quite fascinating to see the events through the eyes of one of our founding council members.
More on that, later, when I get through the rest.
