I keep passing this photo on the bus shelter next to the Disney Lot.
It makes me sad to know that this movie, is the last one with Carrie Fisher in it, reprising her role as Princess (Senator,General) Leia Organa of Alderaan.
No matter how many years have passed (40 years, as of this writing), I remember this scene in the first Star Wars movie, where Darth Vadar and friends destroy Alderaan.
Who did the actual scene in the movie? My good friend, the late KCET Engineer Cal Slater.
They took down the footage I used a few years ago, but there is currently a 1080i clip and I have it HERE.
Hopefully this one does not go the way of the other.
