My planted corn is doing well.
I bring the planter back into the garage every evening, to protect the young shoots, but they seem to be hardy.
On Friday I noticed that the row I planted in the middle began sprouting. As of Saturday I have 5 shoots breaking the surface.
I was told after I planted them, that the corn does not need to start in peet pots, so that is why I planted that second row.
As to my carrots in the very front...they also did not need peet pots, so I may plant them directly into the soil in a week or so. I am not sure if the 10 in the pots are going to survive.
We shall see.
