I took off Monday, due to my "Other" son leaving for the Marines in the middle of the night. Working with almost no sleep is not my idea of a fun time. :-)
I figured since I was off anyway, I would schedule a Doctor's Appointment that day.
As I ran that errand, what should I see...but a Unit Production sign hanging on a light pole. Always a wonderful sight, normally and a real treat after the roller coaster ride of whether or not CBS was going to renew the show.
Their New Season starts on Sunday September 28th at 10PM.

In other Unit News:
A new character has been named for the show.
Nicole Steinwedell is joining the cast of CBS' military drama The Unit in a potentially recurring role as Bridget Sullivan, a strong female character who'll pull her own weight with the Delta Force.
I had looked forward to catching some of the back episodes of The Unit this summer and so far I have (I think) with one known exception.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is that CBS announced the show was renewed, but would move to sunday nights this fall (which works OK for me). Then they actually aired the summer reruns in the new official sunday slot for one or two sundays before moving it to saturdays at 9. I still managed to find it. Then it went to saturdays at 8. And I still found it.
A couple saturdays ago was my first slip-up. I've managed to check the schedule ahead of time each week and alter the VCR recording time as necessary. However, that week I forgot to turn on my digital converter box and tune it to CBS, so I recorded white noise.
Last week I actually remembered to pre-tune the converter box to CBS, but when I played the recording I found they'd aired some sort of dog show instead. Well, at least I didn't miss The Unit, unless they showed it at a different time than the TitanTV schedule had indicated.
And btw, I'm finding discrepancies between online TV schedules (both at TitanTV and zap2it) to be much, much more prevalent when it comes to digital listings than they ever were for analog. I don't know why that should be and I hope they get more consistently accurate by the time analog goes away.
Anyway, now this week I see the show is listed for 9 PM saturday, then not listed at all for next saturday. CBS is sure making it hard to follow the bouncing Unit!
Dim Skip: We hear you. I was online shortly after we returned from a party, when I saw that the Great American Dog show had pre-empted The Unit on Saturday. So I turn and tell my guy, who was watching something else and he says, yeah, he already noticed when he tried to turn it on when we got home. It's not Titan, it's CBS. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThanks for watching. :-)
