Water On A Hot Day

Hot fun in the summertime...

We have had some real hot days recently and on one of those afternoons, I took a walk over to the fountain, in Union Station. I have photographed it before, but this time I was really into the lovely gold water urn. I took a picture of it and after I did, I noticed that there was a flag flying in the building directly behind it and so I took this one, with the flag back there. I like how it came out, the water looking so inviting that I want to put my hands in it and then something patriotic.

When I turned around after shooting the photo up above, I noticed several people standing by another water feature in this patio area. I had never seen it before and I spent about 10 minutes watching the fish swim and then I noticed that there was a turtle zipping around the water lilies.

So I took a few pictures of him, too. If you look close, toward the top side of the photo, you can see Mr. Turtle with his head poking out of the water.

It was lots of fun to watch and a really lovely peaceful place to rest for a few.
