I love these flowers.
They are pansies and many places put them in, during our temperate winter months.
Unfortunately for me, I rarely get them going, since the fall and Christmas is so busy for me...but once in a while I get it together and plant them. It's so nice to have so much color, in a black and white time of the year.
These were planted at the Church I visited the other day. You can tell they are past their prime a bit...but I still love the colors and felt they were worth taking a photo of.
Maybe next fall, I will plant some here at home.
Enjoy.
Pansies are SO cheery -- I love 'em, too, although I don't plant them. I have no idea why I don't plant them... I wonder how long they take to bloom from seed, if I could still have some of them this year???
ReplyDeleteThey don't do well in the sun. That's why we use them as winter color.
ReplyDeleteAh, good to know -- thanks! We have some shady spots that could use something to compete with the weeds...
