Trains In A Line

Well, I thought it was a cool shot. :-)

4 trains on the platform.
Each almost the same distance apart.

It reminds me of a sideways "Raising the Bar" Ad by AT&T.

Except I keep wanting to nudge that last one, back in line.

  1. It *is* a cool shot, and you're right, that last train needs just a leetle nudge.

I actually have a fair number of similarly-themed pictures. My SU volunteers with a group that restores and advocates for light rail (streetcars), and when we travel, local transit is always a highlight of the trip. Our last trip to San Francisco was pretty amazing in that regard: his mentor had a connection at MUNI, and we got a personal tour of both the new rail works and the rail works where they restore the old streetcars that work on the F line. Very, very cool.

  2. My family LOVES the Public Transportation in San Francisco. I am sure you had a good time, checking all that out. :-)

  3. SF is a fabulous city to move around in without a car. Because the SU actually has the documentation to prove he's qualified to drive light rail vehicles, and is a transit worker, and will start a conversation with ANYbody,he's actually gotten to briefly drive a cable car and a street car in SF, as well as one of the old street cars in Melbourne, Australia. Washington, DC, is another city with a great transit system. I just wish ours was that good. I live about 8 miles from work, all in the central part of the Twin Cities, and it takes me a minimum of an hour to get to work on the bus.

  4. Oooh, I forgot to tell you that I saw a car on Thursday from Saturn of St. Paul and it had Minnesota plates still on it. I thought of you!

  5. Woo-hoo!! And, "A Prairie Home Companion," which is based at the Fitzgerald Theater here in St. Paul, was in LA today. I thought of you listening to the show on the radio! I didn't hear what venue it was at, but kd lang and Sheryl Crow were both on.
