Just a few days ago, I was lamenting the fact that even though spring technically arrived, we weren't really showing much in the way of spring growth...yet.
What a difference 2 days made.
The Plum Trees are totally in bloom this past weekend, on our parkways in our local roads. They are not just pink, but an almost purple pink, which is very striking.
These are fruitless plums, but just for the flowers themselves, they are worth having around.

ReplyDeleteWhat amazed me is my fruit trees just have buds and that happened on Sunday, these trees are now in full bloom. Must get more sun then mine. They are really lovely. :-)

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful trees. We're just starting to see some very pale "maybe it's green?" on some of the shade trees, and the silver maple in our back yard has ginormous buds on it. My SU's eyes are starting to itch like mad, so there's definitely SOMEthing going on.
My boss has the same eye problem. It's definitely something in the air right now.
