Soto Station Metro Gold Line

This is one of two underground subway stops on the (mostly) above ground, Metro Gold Line.

Soto Street, in the heart of Boyle Heights is just to the east of Downtown Los Angeles. The station is just a beautiful place to experience. Maps, birds weird blue glowing thing hovering about the stairs. It's beyond anything I have ever seen before.

This is what it looks like, at street level. Clean lines and more structure then many of the subway stations get. It's a hit with me.

  1. Wow - very cool looking. I have been on the subway so few times; it was so new when I was there and did not really go where I was going.

I love learning about it and seeing it through your eyes.

  2. As I mentioned, this is actually an above ground train...but 2 stops, Soto Street and Mariachi Plaza are below ground. I can't wait to finally get off at Mariachi Plaza and check it out...especially if it's anything like Soto Street.

  3. Very nice, I like it. But, if I may ask...

What is a "mind awake area?" Is there a corresponding "mind asleep area" somewhere?

  5. Dim Skip: Thanks so much for asking.

I haven't a clue...there are many more words around the station, on the three levels, none of which are mind asleep, if I remember correctly. :-)

I am glad you like it. Ed and I were majorly impressed with the unexpected beauty of the place.
