Another of the things I saw on my walk by the lake, is the SUNY Oswego weather station.
Back in my day, we were lucky if the students had readings coming in from Syracuse. :-)
Actually, they probably had some readings from the top of their building...but I could be wrong.
Now days, they generate their own weather readings from this wonderful set of weather equipment. It is called the Dr. Eugene Chermack Surface Weather Station at SUNY Oswego.
Our weather program has always been top notch.
As a matter of fact, some of our grads are the ones you see out in the real world, like The Weather Channel.
All of them giving you their best guess as to what the weather is going to be "In Your Neck Of The Woods". :-)
It is great to see such a visible reminder of what our school is known for and giving our new students the tools to succeed in this world of 24 hour news and weather cycles.
