A Happy New Year And A Holiday Lunch

Happy New Year, 2010.

May this one really bring my Country and this World some needed peace and prosperity.

I thought for this New Year post, I would spotlight a personal highlight of the past year, for me.

For residents of Los Angeles, the person I am with needs no introduction.

For fans of The Simpsons, he probably doesn't need an intro, either.

For the rest of my blog readers, the man is Huell Howser and I work with him.

He produces a program called California's Gold. He goes out and interviews ordinary people, asking about whatever it is that they do, or have, or whatever. It's a very folky show.

For the first time in 25 years...he invited me to his holiday staff luncheon.

I had a great time and probably spent way more time there then I should have...but what the heck...you don't know when you might get another invite like that again.

Thanks Huell, it was incredible.

PS: I will hopefully showcase the restaurant he took us too, in another post. You just won't believe the things that were for sale there.
I did finally do just that and here's a link to the post.

  3. Happy New Year Angel, I am glad you had Great Lunch, we had dinner at Steve & Debbie's, which by the way they got a new cat. I think her name is Cali. She is cute and she tends to run around a lot. :-)

  5. I loved California's Gold with Huell Howser...but lately haven't been able to find out what day or time it is on, or what channel. It was nice to him with you.
