My E-bay Room

My girlfriend from college is leaving LA for a bit.

She and I moved out west back in 1979 and minus a few years, when she lived in NY and then traveled the world, she has been in LA since 1987. She just got an eviction notice from the owner of the condo she rents, about a week or so ago. Instead of getting all upset about it, she has decided to use this as an opportunity to travel a bit and to settle in New York for a few months. Of course that means she is looking for places to dump her stuff, for a while. I immediately realized what was going to happen and last Friday, I got the call. Do you want to take my bedroom set for the spare room, she asked?

I give you exhibit A, to answer that question. :-)

My den has become E-bay Central. My son has stuff up for sale almost all the time and right now, nothing is selling. Thus, boxes and boxes of things are crowding my room, on top of the things I am going to deal with, from my own life.
About the best I can do right now, is keep the bills filed away, after I pay them. Otherwise, it is a mess. How the visitors who crash in the room manage, I don't really know.

One of the people he sells things for, is his drafting teacher from High School. All those pay cuts and freezes are taking a toll and this particular person is using old collectables, to make up the difference. As a matter of fact, train sets last holiday season did very well for him and of course my son gets a cut of whatever sells. He has also been selling things for the friend who just came home from Afghanistan and also for number 1 marine son.

I wish my friend good luck finding places for her stuff...but I really wish I had my den back, so I could have had the option to take her up on her offer.

Oh well...
