Young Kateri

Since it is Sunday, I thought I would show off one of the three tile murals of St. Kateri. It graces the patio area, on the wall of the Church offices.

It has been so long since I thought about when we decided to put these up, that I forgot that my family donated to their cost and so we have our names under this particular one.

Amazingly, I found it with no problem, even after all this time.

I love this one and personally think it is the best of the three. That's what happens when you give money early.

If you know our names, click on the photo and check out the third column of names on the plaque.

I don't know if this is the official prayer for St. Kateri, but I thought it appropriate for today.

Lord God, You called the virgin Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, to shine among the American Indian people as an example of innocence of life. Through her intercession, may all peoples of every tribe, tongue and nation, having been gathered into Your Church, proclaim your greatness in one song of praise. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
