My Water Post For Today. (another from my Husband's camera)
You may remember me mentioning the North Platte River, in my talk about our train trip through Wyoming.
If you click the link, you will see a shallow river with lots of mud in it. Well, here is another part of the Platte River, this one is the South Platte and it runs right through Denver's LoDo (Lower Denver) District, right next to Union Station. That is where we saw it.
When we were in Wyoming we had no idea that the North Platte river we went over way north of the state of Colorado, joined together with the South Platte in Nebraska and became the Platte River. As I mentioned before, it then joins the Missouri River, which enters the Mississippi River just above St. Louis. According to what I just read, Denver Colorado is the largest city that the Missouri (via the Platte) travels through.
I hope you enjoy.
It is interesting, as far as the history goes. However I do prefer my water more blue.
