My son was supposed to fly solo to Santa Barbara on Sunday. Unfortunately for him, the airports he needed, were all fogged in at 11AM and were not going to clear til much later. Even if Van Nuys cleared, as it was scheduled to, he would not have been able to fly up above the mountains that are over 4 thousand feet high. So it was a scrub. He has been rescheduled for next weekend.
