Bob's Big Boy Burbank

In our Burbank travels on Monday, we took a short detour to the Bob's Big Boy Restaurant on Riverside Drive in Toluca Lake. It is just a mile from my new workplace, which means I totally intend to eat there upon occasion. There is much history to the place, which you can read, HERE.

The building itself harkens back to a style of architecture that is just so beautiful. I can't tell you how much it enchanted me. I have been trying to remember, but I think it has been decades since I ate there. We have tried several times on a weekend and unfortunately for me, the place is packed on those days.

We happened to be sitting next to the booth that is famous for the Beatles eating in it, back in 1965. I happened to read the sign on the post next to me and it told the entire story. It gets mentioned in the wikipedia article I connected to, so if you didn't click on it up above, please take the time to do so. I am sure there were millions of places where they ate, but one of them was right next to me and I got a kick out of that. :-)

Over the years, the Bob's chain has gotten smaller and smaller, but this one remains and I am so glad.
Could I have a Big Boy Combo, with avocado please?
