(Pardon the reference to an old Harry Chapin song.) ;-)
I took off for my Birthday, using the Monday to give me a 3 day weekend. Of course when you do that, pesky things like a rainy day (only the second in the entire month of January) happen. After dealing with a family member who needed a ride somewhere, we ended up in North Hollywood. Since that is close by, we took a detour over to my future work home at The Pointe.
Thankfully for Hubby and I, the rain stopped almost as soon as we got there. Being I have no way to get up to the 5th floor yet, I am stuck just looking at things from the ground level...but what a ground level it is.
This first photo shows The Pointe as you see it on the corner of Alameda Blvd and Bob Hope Drive.
It is so very impressive and the dramatic clouds reflected in the sides of the building, make it even better.
This second photo shows The Pointe from the back side, where the entry to the parking area is. They planted lovely Bird of Paradise plants around the entryway and they are quite lovely. I am a fan of this plant and even Hubby commented on the nice choice they made.
If you count up 5 floors from ground level, you can see the construction being done on the back side of the soundstages. They are working hard to get that done, along with the edit bays, and Master Control and Ingest. The 6th floor seems to be a lesser project, in terms of importance. Of course the President of our company would beg to differ, I am sure. :-)
Move in date is still being worked on, but mid to late April is the projected drop dead time. We need to be running and gone, by that time. I am hearing rumors of mid March for the technical plant, so that we can do shadow operations in both locations. It might mean that I spend time at both facilities, for a short period of time. We shall see.
Gee I wish I had known you were taken off yesterday, I would have called that morning...
ReplyDeleteanyway, I am glad you had a good day and I Love " "Taxis" one of the best Harry Chapin songs :-)
I love that song, too. All those many times I saw him sing it, back in the day. :-)
