Yes! the best part of the New Year!
Due to January 1st being on a Sunday, The Rose Parade was on Monday. Better late then never, in my humble opinion. :-)
For the first time in 6 years, my work friend and her husband were riding in the parade, as part of a group called the War Horse and Militaria Heritage Foundation. She deals with our edit bays by day and rides these beautiful horses by night.
As their website states, they keep the heritage of the war horses alive.
I personally find this especially timely, with the release of Steven Spielberg's latest movie, The War Horse.
It was a beautiful day and an almost perfect Parade. I hope you got to watch some of it. The best that Southern California has to offer...and my friend!
