When I was a young teen, our neighbor across the street married a man who was a chef. He trained in Europe and cooked for Sky Chef, at one point. I believe after I left home, he opened his own restaurant and one day it was rented and used in a really cool shot of patrons sneaking in the back of the Copacabana, via the kitchen. My neighbor George was the chef in the photo.

He died many years ago, at a young age and his daughter posted a screen capture of that long ago movie, Goodfellas from 1990. I went looking and found a You Tube video on the making of that very scene. It is called the Copacabana Shot and is well known for the way it was produced.
You can check it out, HERE. The actual scene in its entirety, follows the discussion of the technique used to shoot that part of the film.
