It has been two weeks since I returned home, from my "vacation" on Long Island.
As one who lived through Sandy, I knew the area of my birth would not recover quickly. We still hear stories of LIPA not getting the power back on, to all the customers. Of course, the ones in the hardest hit areas of the South Shore of Long Island may never get their power back.
I feel for them all.

ReplyDeleteNot like we spent much time by the water, but I saw some photos of Ocean Parkway and that just broke my heart. You and I usually drive it, whenever I visit and not parts of the road are gone! Will it come back? Who knows.
