I am not a professional arborist or landscape architect, so sue me for the vague way I refer to the brown things in the street. :-)
The tree (unknown type) in front of the hospital I pass every day, is coming out of dormancy and growing new leaves.
It has these brown things (acorns, nuts, whatever) that are now falling off, probably to reseed and make new trees.
There are hundreds of them, all over the property.
On Thursday I saw the gardener using his leaf blower to blow these hundreds of round things into the street.
He made no effort to round them up and dispose of them, as he would do with grass clippings.
Instead, we the people are having to dodge them, when leaving the walkway, which you will note, he did clear.
I was not happy with this situation at all and think that the gardeners at my property probably do something similar with the leaves that fall off each fall.
Our streets are not meant to be used as a trash container and it was making me take notice and maybe bring it to someone's attention. I especially want to mention it at the hospital, or to the City of Burbank.
People do the strangest things.
