Tuesday December 13th is St. Lucia's Day.
You may remember that last year I found a recipe for St. Lucia Buns also known as Lussekatter. You can see the recipe HERE.
I did the buns in March of the year and I swore that this year I would make them on St. Lucia's Day. Actually, I made them 2 days ahead of time and hopefully a few of them will make it to the day itself.
Last time I made them I lamented that they were not sweet enough and this time I added a 1/4 cup more sugar and I thought they came out excellent. I also managed to get 5 1/2 cups of flour in this time. Last time, only 4 cups. I am sure it is the weather that makes that happen. So just add flour until you don't feel that you can add flour anymore.

Happy St. Lucy Day! These look great- yum!
