My Water Post For Today.
One of the places we visited on our vacation this May, was Washington, DC. I have never used this particular Metro Station before and when we came up out of the ground, we were totally immersed in The Navy Memorial. It was huge and a beautifully done tribute to the men and women who serve in the Navy, Marines, Merchant Marines, etc. Being that the Navy deals with all things water, this fountain was fittingly part of the display.
I love how the water flows downward over the stairs and the mast like flag pole dominating the rear, where there is water being shot high into the air.
It is a fitting tribute.

Yes I did. It amazes me all the surprises you came up with on your trip. The Navy Memorial was a great tribute to Dad. Also a great water post. :-)
